Katharine Lucille Beck, 67, of Jackson, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Nov. 23, 1940, in Fresno, Calif., daughter of Owen and Helen Webb Smith, she was a bookkeeper and a member of the Jackson Church of Christ.

On Oct. 1, 1960, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Ronnie L. Beck, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Scott Beck and wife, Lisa, of St. Charles, Mo.; one daughter, Shannon Hood and husband, Bryan, of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Eddie Smith, of Kennett; two sisters, Letha Blount, of Kennett and Jo Ann Sides, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and three grandchildren, Alexander and Nathaniel Beck and Christian Hood.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at the Jackson Church of Christ with Bryan McAllster officiating.

Burial was in the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
