Roy Riggs, 78, of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Oct. 13, 1929, in Beech Corner, Mo., he was the son of the late Andrew and Beulah Goswick Riggs.

On June 7, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Sue Haycraft, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Michael Riggs and wife, Gwen, of Kennett, James Riggs and wife, Pat, of Largo, Fla., and Tim Riggs and wife, Lydia, of Senath; one sister, Andalee Gebhart, of O'Fallon, Mo.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Martin, Arron, Eldon and Donald Riggs and four sisters, Ollie Riggs Jones, Erma Duke, Lorraine Riggs and Louvella Roark.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Gene Speight officiating.

Burial was in the McGrew Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tim, Mike, James, Jim, Mark and Keith Riggs.
