Lillian Bratcher

Lillian Opel Marie Bratcher, 73, died Wednesday, Jan, 16, 2008, at the Fountainbleau Nursing Home in Crystal City, Mo.

Born June 8, 1934, in Cadet, Mo., daughter of the late Franklin Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Evans Barton, she was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star.

On October 2, 1962, in St. Louis, Mo., she married Joe David Bratcher who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2004. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Hubbard; one step-daughter, Carol Ann Earnhart and one sister, Maxine Sims.

Survivors include one step-son, David Bratcher, of Dexter, Mo.; 10 daughters, Karen Keown, of Madisonville, Ky., Rose Berend, of Arnold, Mo., Kathy Goad, of Illinois, Anita Watkins, of Festus, Mo., Mary Hunt, of New Madrid, Mo., Millie Ghattas, of Imperial, Mo., Estella Bates of Tampa, Fla., Barbara Lynn, of Valley Park, Mo., Melinda Wheeler, of Dittmer, Mo., and Bertha Sherritze, of Parma, Mo., two step-daughters, Kathy Clark, of Malden, Mo., and Sharon Dellinger, of Lincoln, Ill.; six brothers: Chad, J.R., and Wayne Barton, all of St. Louis, Mo., Donald Barton, of Virginia, Johnny Barton ,of Peru, Ind., and Buddy Barton, of South Carolina; one sister, Melinda McMillian, of St. Peters, Mo.; 44 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Parma Cemetery.
