Bobie H. Barnes, 73, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born April 6, 1934, in Caraway, Ark., son of the late Claude and Hattie Bell Barnes, he was a U.S. Korean War veteran, he owned and operated a lawn care service and was a counselor at the Stapleton Center.
Survivors include two sons, Brian White, of Aultenburg, Mo., and Kevin White, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Claude Barnes, Jr., of St. Joseph, Mo., and Bernard Barnes, of Anaheim, Calif.; one sister, Jimmie Smith, of Sikeston, Mo., and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Elmo Barnes and two sisters, Glenna Dunkerson and Jane Henry.
Graveside services with full military honors were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo., with the Rev. H. Worth officiating.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
