Glennon Ford

Glennon Nadine Ford, 88, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Oct. 17, 1919, in Tupelo, Miss., daughter of the late William Merideth and Margaret Ludine Chappel Parker, she was employed at Brown Shoe Company and a member of the Temple Baptist Church while living in Caruthersville, Mo.

She married Clarence Harvey Ford, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Robert Ford; two sisters, Pauline Gregory Harmon and Inez Griggs Branham; one brother, Bill Parker, and one grandchild.

Survivors include three daughters, Maxine James and Glenda Jones, both of Kennett and Phyllis Watkins, of Wardell, Mo.; two sisters, Lottie Stolsek and Mabel Johnson; two brothers, Landon and Floyd Parker; a daughter-in-law, Camelia Ford; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.

Burial was in the LIttle Prairie Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony, Johnny and David Watkins, Frankie and Travis James and Scott and Devin Ford.
