Born Feb. 28, 1938, in Kennett, daughter of Margaret Marler and the late Jake Marler, she was employed at Greenville News.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Usery, of Greenville; one son, Derek Usery and wife, Susan, of Harrison, Ark.; one daughter, Serena Doran and husband, Pete, of Bauxite, Ark.; her mother, Margaret Marler, of Kennett; two sisters, Barbara Haney and husband, Bill, of West Memphis, Ark., and Carolyn James and husband, Johnny, of Chicago, Ill; three brothers, Jeriel Marler and wife, Barbara and Billie Marler and wife, Judy, all of Kennett and Jimmie Marler and wife, Sharon, of Norwood, Mo.; six grandchildren, Adam and Brandon Jacks, Alicia Usery, Derek Usery, Jr., and Shelly and Asa Allgood and two great-grandchildren, Dillon and Alora Jacks.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Oneal Usery.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., today, Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Smith Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Steven Cantu officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
