Martha Ellen Hooper, 61, died Jan. 2, 2008 at her home in Hayti, Mo.

Born April 30, 1946 in Helena, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie and Martha Williams Logan, she was a loving mother and her religious belief was Baptist.

She married Bill Sheckell who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1998. She later married Jerry Hooper who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1985.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Tonya Hooper and Bobbie Joe Hooper and one brother, Carl Logan.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Scheckell of Hayti, Frank Hooper and wife, Shirley, of Sacramento, Calif., Jerry Hooper and wife, Lisa, of Hayti; three daughters, Linda Long and husband, Jerry, of Southhaven, Miss., Jerrie Hooper of Hayti, and Cindy Deaton and husband, Shane, of Hayti; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; four brothers; Charles and A.C. Logan of Hayti, Danny Logan of Portageville, Mo., and Alvin Logan of Lakeland, Fla.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel at Hayti with Bobby Bradford officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Thomas Bates, James Dyer, Jonathan Hall, Ricky John Hooper, Johnny Logan and Ralph Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were Randall Franks and Randy Franks.
