Joyce Ollabell Foss, 82, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Kennett, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.

Born July 26, 1925 in Kennett, daughter of Rollo Ross Cannon & Celia Vied Kinsolving Cannon, she graduated from Kennett High School, she was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone in Iowa and the State Employment office in St. Louis and later retired as a telephone operator after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the Polk Street United Methodist church.

On April 19, 1951 in St. Louis, she married Kelly Foss, who survives.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Foss, of Amarillo; one son, Dale Foss, of Lubbock, Texas; one nephew; two nieces; one grand nephew; and two grand nieces.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lethel Cannon and three brothers, Donald, Ross and Richard Cannon.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Amarillo.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at the Polk Street United Methodist Church Chapel with the Revs. Marty Hamrick and Renae Haiduk officiating.

Burial will follow in the Claude Cemetery.
