Claude Edward Massic, 97, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Malden.
Born Feb. 12, 1910, in Deslet, Mo., son of the late Lewis Harper and Nancy Katherine Smith Massie, he was a truck driver and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Malden.
On Sept. 2, 1929, in Centerville, Mo., he married Anna May Larkin Massie, who preceded him in death on April 2, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Massie; a granddaughter, Kimber Massie and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Tipton and husband, Clarence, of Lamar, Mo.; one sister, Juanita Lambert, of Herculaneum, Mo.; four grandchildren, Tracy Rogers, Robert Tipton and James and Philip Massie; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Friday, Jan. 4, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Greg Dowler officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
