Leona Jewel Taylor, 59, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at her residence.

Born Feb. 4, 1948, daughter of the late Leon Burks and Jeweldene Brown, she was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Robbie Taylor and wife, Marty, of Glendale, Ariz., and Scott and Mark Taylor, of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Deanna Cross and husband, Phillip, of Steele, Mo.; one sister, Diane Burlison and husband, George, of Kennett; a grandfather, E.E. Carrico, of Hot Springs, Ark., and four grandchildren, Jamie and Grace, both of Glendale and Jake and Steve, both of Steele.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Burks; a grandmother, Thelma Carrico and her step-father, Jim Brown.

A memorial service will be held Jan. 14, 2008, in Phoenix.
