Sarah Milligan Bogan

Sarah Milligan Bogan, 80, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs.

Born April 13, 1927 in Trenton, Tenn., daughter of the late Henry E. Milligan and Eula Mae McKinnley Milligan, she worked for Brown Shoe Co. in Caruthersville before working for Osceola Shoe Co. in Osceola, Ark. She was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ in Hot Springs.

Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Herod and husband, George, of Casper, Wyo.; one son, Bob Sawyer and wife, Dee, of Hot Springs; five sisters, Mildred Treece and Audra Leek, both of Trenton, Mary Thomas, of Chicago, Ill., Maxine St. Clair, of Osceola and Betty Johnson and husband, Martin, of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Henry Milligan, of Chicago; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Bogan III; three brothers, Albert, Andrew and Gaylon Milligan and one grandson, Scott Sawyer.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel at Caruthersville.

Burial was in Sermon on the Mount in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
