Juanita Joyce Tanner, 61, of Wardell, Mo. died Monday, December 31, 2007 at her residence.

Born January 13, 1946 at Armorel Ark. she was a daughter of the late Homer Lee and Hallie Mae Turner Odom.She was a retired Wardell city clerk and member of the Wardell Baptist Church.

On April 9, 1966, at Wardell, she married Ralph Tanner who survives.

Other survivors are one son, Eric Tanner of Hayti, Mo.; one daughter Sheryl Brown of Rockwell, Texas; two brothers, Jerry Odom of Bonne Terre, Mo. and Don Odom of Kennett; two sisters, Blance Oliver of Lexington, Ky. and Dorothy McClain of Covington, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Tanner, two brothers, Homer Odom and Carl Odom and two sisters, Lavine Douglas and Louis Odom.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at the Baptist Church in Wardell.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 3, at the Baptist Church in Wardell with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.

Burial will be in the Little Paririe Cemetery in Caruthersville.
