Born July 27, 1951 at Malden, Mo., daughter of the late Cleo and Allie Mae Martin Clemens, she was a homemaker and member of the Victory in Christ Christian Ministry and 4-H Club.
On June 12, 1993, at Malden, Mo., she married Ozeal Barber who survives the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Aleshia E. Hill Stewart of Anderson, Ind., and Kimberly L. Hill of Cape Girardeau; a step-son, Marlin C. Barber of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren, Nathan and Marcus Harvey, and Elijah Barber; seven sisters, Azell Mildred Davis of Chicago, Ill., Ollie Patsy Barber and husband, Charlie, of Detroit, Mich., Mary L. Clemons of Memphis, Tenn., Cynthia Diane Davis and husband, Willie, of Chicago, Karen Rena Porter and husband, Wayne, of Malden, Lisa Kay Clemons of Marion, Ind., and Lue Venia Johnson and husband, Percy, of Jefferson City, Mo.; three brothers, Odis Clemons and wife, Betty, of Detroit, Sandy Clemons and wife, Diane, of Chicago, and Cleo Clemons, II, of East St. Louis, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John L. Hill, Jr., and Terry Dencan Hill; a daughter, Sheila Renee Hill; and two sisters, Ellen Clemons and Alberta Williams.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Malden, Mo..
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
Landess Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
