Irene Reel Ford
Irene Reel Ford was born January 12, 1928 in Kennett, Missouri and departed from this life on December 25, 2007 in her home at the age of 79.
Irene was the daughter of the late Sanford and Edna Reel. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Everett Reel; three sisters, Beulah Allen, Pearl McFarline, and Pansy Bolin.
In 1953 she was united in marriage to Glen Henry "T-Model" Ford who preceded her in death on September 18, 1969. Irene is survived by two daughters; Jacqueline "Jackie" and Scott Arwine of Kennett, MO, and Sherry and Kerry Ragins of Kennett, MO. She was a proud grandmother to three grandsons; Michael, Jr. and Breah Trainer, Glen and Alicia Trainer, and Steven and Jennifer Ragins all of Kennett, MO. She was a proud great-grandmother to one great-granddaughter Abbey Rane Trainer, and a great-grandson Coleton Alexander Trainer both of Kennett, MO.
Irene was an active member of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years and served as Past Worthy Matron. She was also a White Shrine. Irene was retired from Ely and Walker Company and Emerson Electric Company. Her passion was her rose garden and landscaping which was admired by many. She also loved to sew and cross stitch and made beautiful quilts and pillows for her loved ones. Irene was very active throughout her life and worked hard to achieve her goals. She was loved dearly by many close friends and relatives.
Pallbearers for Irenes funeral service are Carol Moore, Bill Heinen, Jason Morgan, Richard Wrather, Louie Thompson, and Eric Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers are Corky Davis and Ronnie Poe.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.., Thursday, Dec. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. An Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2007 at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Dale Rickman and Reverend Gary Henson officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
