Born Feb. 22, 1920, in Dexter, Mo., daughter of the late William Joseph and Edith May Small Smith, she was employed at Just Rite Cleaners and was a member of Kimball Baptist Church in Malden.
On May 14, 1938, in Campbell, Mo., she married Howard Evans, who preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Sue Sharley; one brother, Dennis Smith and one sister, Melba Kildow.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Jackson and husband, Joe, of Malden and Judy Telker and husband, Joe, of Leoma, Tenn.; one son, Terry Evans and wife, Brenda, of Bloomfield, Mo.; one sister, Jeanette West, of St. Louis, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 24, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev., Jim Cornman officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
