Zona Elzada Gooch

Zona Elzada Gooch, 94, of Leachville, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Senath Nursing Center in Senath, Mo.

Born in Big Flat, Ark., daughter of the late Sam and Viola Freeman Jones, she was a member of the Happy Corner Assembly of God Church near Leachville.

She married Elmer Gooch, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Estell and Ephriam Ward; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include two daughters, Gretha Bennett and husband, Bill, of Marshal, Mich., and LaVonda Walker and husband, Jim, of Cardwell, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Leachville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Assembly of God Church in Leachville with the Rev, Tom Newman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.
