William Walter Doughten, 64, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Feb. 14, 1943, in Lenox, Tenn., son of the late Guy and Rena Patterson Doughten, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, retiree from General Motors where he was a Union Representative, and he was of the Baptist faith.
On Dec. 30, 1994, in Piggott, Ark., he married Patricia Keating, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, David Randall Love, and wife, Dorothy, of Campbell, Mo.; three daughters, Renee Culpepper and husband, Chuck, of Kennett, Linda McElyea and husband, Bud, of Kennett, and Sheri Vandiver and husband, Terry, of Piggott, Ark.; four brothers, Thomas Doughten and wife, Lana, of Texas, Marvin Doughten and wife Debbie, of Kennett, Billy Doughten and wife, Betty, of Ark., and Richard Doughten and wife, Mary, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; four sisters, Lola Coleman of St. Louis, Hattie Blake of Ark., Carolyn Foster and husband, Glen, of Gibson, Mo., and Marilyn Tessaro and husband, Allen, of South Carolina; and five grandchildren, Rob, Rick, Kollin, Kody and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Gary Doughten, Jr.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., today, Dec. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home at Campbell.
