Celia Estell Widner Cooper, 92, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Born July 7, 1915, in Ridgely, Tenn., daughter of the late Fred Cleveland and Mary Alice Turner Reams, she was of the Pentecostal faith.
On Nov. 12, 1932, she married Forrest Widner, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1985. She later married Earnest Cooper on Dec. 28, 1987. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gerald Widner; five brothers, Armon, Harley, Maryn Cleveland, Birtthel Maryn and Firdie Washington Reams and three sisters, Truly Williams, Ellen Skelton and Elizabeth Downing.
Survivors include five daughters, Vivian Diggs and Lona Marie Woods, both of Lakeland, Ann Isbell and Bertha Norton, both of Henning, Tenn., and Glenda Mauldin, of Bloomington, Ill.; two sons, Billy Joe Widner, of Lakeland and Eugene Widner, of Milan, Tenn.; one brother, Benajmin Reams, of Conway, Ark.; one sister, Zola Watson, Blytheville, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Portageville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Revs. John Creasy and Allen Gentry officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Badshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
