Shirley Jones, 72, of Kennett, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at Kennett.

Born April 12, 1935, at White Oak, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Arlin and Ethel Minnie Pugh Dye.

On February 22, 1957, she married Donald S. Jones who preceded her in death August 7, 2000.

Survivors include Dr. Rick D. Jones and wife, Judy, of Kennett; two daughters, Christy Jones of Jonesboro, Ark. and Marti Jones and fiancé Andy Lewis of St. Louis; two sisters, Brenda Hicks and Beverly Stone, both of Kennett; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, December 12, at McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 13, at McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are L.C. Cuff, Jingo Cole, Carl Williams, Jim Toombs, Kyle and Jeff Stone.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark Dye, Greg Hicks, Omer and Shirley Gaskins, George Workman, Mary Lee Carter, Barbara Williams, Barbara Cuff, Barbara Henson, Jeris and Carlos Woodard and Deloris Poe.

The family suggest memorials to St. Jude Children Hospital at Memphis, Tenn. or the Delta Children's Home at Kennett.
