Robert Joseph "Joe" Robinson, 75, of Kennett, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born Jan. 22, 1932, in Oxley, Mo., son of the late Ernest Newton and Martha Melvinie Robinson, he was a farm laborer and he attended the Word of Life General Baptist Church in Frisbee, Mo.
On Sept. 13, 1957, in Piggott, Ark., he married Minnie Leoma Laden, who preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 1993. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Woodruff Robinson; two brothers, Mitchell and Johnny Robinson and two sisters, Elza Faye and Violet Robinson.
Survivors include four sons, Lonnie Robinson, of Kennett, Joseph Robinson, of Princeton, Ky., Danny Robinson, of Clarkton, Mo., and Hubert Robinson, of Nimmons, Ark.; two daughters, Patricia Lawrence, of Kennett and Wanda Jenkins, of Campbell, Mo.; three brothers, Charles Robinson, of Malden, Mo., and Ernest and Bobby Robinson, both of Mounds City, Ill.; four sisters, Marie Stadler, of Fairdealing, Mo., and Arlena Williams, Faye Parsons and Helen Busby, all of Mounds City; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Tom Crane and Dennis Collins officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
