Dorothy Davis, 85, of Kennett, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at National Health Care at Kennett.

Born Sept. 11, 1922, at Dupo, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alberta Ward Sumpter.

On Sept. 12, 1946, she married Gale Davis in Piggott, Ark. who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Larry Davis of Irving, Texas and Neal Davis of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; one daughter, Susan Wallin of Gardner of Kansas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, at the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of the arrangements.
