Mary Fisher

Mary Mattie Fisher, 91, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Gideon Care Center.

Born Dec. 14, 1915, in Holcomb, Mo., daughter of the late Richard Lee and Jane L. Sweeten Miller, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon.

On Oct. 8, 1937, in Kennett, she married Richard Arthur Fisher, who preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Fisher; three sisters, Maudie Huddleston, Midge Stoebe and Ethel Boyd and two brothers, Henry and Robert Miller.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Judy Fisher, of Gideon; five grandchildren, Scott Fisher, of Searcy, Ark., Brett Fisher, of Harviell, Mo., Shane Fisher, of Republic, Mo., Gina McGinley, of Gideon and Tarina Bair, of Springfield, Mo.; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Andy Evans and Kenneth Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
