Sarah Jo Terrett House, 73, of Portageville, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.
Born Feb. 6, 1934, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Carl and Lottie Vaughn VanDeWaal, she was employed at Brown Shoe Company and of the Baptist faith.
She married Jesse Lee Terrett, Jr., who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1971. She later married Franklin Odell House, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Richard Terrett.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Johnson and wife, Susan, of Aurora, Colo., and Michael Terrett and wife, Laura and Joey Terrett and wife, Mille, all of Portageville; two daughters, Reba Carol Brantley, of Pochontas, Ark., and Kim Fritz and husband, John, of Hayti; two brothers, Carl Stanton VanDeWaal and wife, Barbara and Rulaf R. VanDeWaal and wife, Sherron, all of Hayti; one sister, Shirley J. VanDeWaal Ferguson and husband, Sonny, of Hayti and five grandchildren, Benjamin Michael and Kaytlin Carol Johnson, Jessica Michele Terrett, Carl Joseph Terrett, Jr., and Melissa Carol Greenwell.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Dec. 4, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Brother Doug Wahls officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Michael Terrett, John Fritz, Rulaf and Stan VanDeWaal, Martin Ray and Eugene Davis.
