Born April 5, 1935, in Kennett, son of the late Oliver Harrell and Ida Roberson, he was employed at Dunklin Memorial Hospital, Kennett Police Department, Kennett Housing Authority and Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center as a security guard
On Nov. 19, 1974, he married Cheryl Chadwell, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Jamme Harrell and wife, Ginnie, of Clarkton, Mo.; one daughter, Amber Harrell Gordon, of Kennett; two step-sons, Keith Chadwell and wife, Katrina, of Piggott, Ark., and Kevin Chadwell and wife, Jodi, of White Oak, Mo.; three brothers, Odell Harrell, of Kennett, Oliver Harrell, Jr., of Memphis, Tenn., and Edward Harrell, of Michigan; one step-sister, Theresa Hoke, of Newark, N.J.; seven step-grandchildren; children from previous marriage, four sons, Robert Harrell, Jr., of Texas, Donnie Harrell, of Hawaii, Derrick Harrell, of West Memphis, Ark., and Maurice Harrell, of California; five daughters, Debra Harrell, of Texas, Connie Williams and Darnice Harrell, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jackie Farmer and Vivian Harrell, both of Kennett and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family members.
There will be no visitation or services.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
