Herbert Stanley Latimer, 88, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Sept. 12, 1919, in Marston, Mo., son of the late Robert and Eva Latimer, he was a veteran, a truck driver, a member of the American Legion Post No.293 in Malden, a member of Four Mile Lodge No. 212 in Campbell, Mo., and a member of the Methodist Church in Marston.

He married Martha Tackett, who preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1985. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Myron, Oscar and Aaron Lee Latimer and two sisters, Margaret Edwards and Lillian Blackledge.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Bommarito, of St. Louis, Mo., and Terry Tobin, of Leopold, Mo.; one step-daughter, Connie Meyers, of Mesa, Ariz., and two sisters, Geraldine Griffin, of St. Louis, MO., and Peggy Girvin, of Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Friday, Nov. 23, with Masonic services at 7 p.m., at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday. Nov. 24, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Hampton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.

Memorials may be made to the Marston Methodist Church.
