Monson L. Schell, 80, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at his residence.

Born Nov. 1, 1927, in Hornersville, son of the late Monson P. and Rebecca Lomax Schell, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a farmer. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Hornersville and a member of the Hornersville American Legion Post No. 362.

On Feb. 27, 1949, in Shields, Mo., he married Mary Lee Horner, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Beth Hutchison and husband, Scott and Becky Branum and husband, Jerry, all of Hornersville; one son, Jim Schell and wife, Debbie, of Hornersville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, S.W. Schell; three sisters, Agnus Branum, Thelma Droke and Alberta Ford; two step-sisters, Katherine Schell and Roberta Riggs and one granddaughter, Lori Beth Hutchison.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home in Hornersville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Sam, Brad, Bart and Terry Branum, Jeremy Schell and Scott Hutchison.
