Melvin Hagar, 64, of Kennett, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at St. Bernards Hospital at Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Sept. 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Andy and Gettia Witaker Hagar.

On Nov. 10, 1979, he married Marie Scaccia at Park Forest, Ill., who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Marc and Jeff Hagar; one daughter, Melanie Hagar of Park Forest, Ill., and one sister, Wilma Moody and husband, Loyd, of Kennett.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwayne, Lonnie, J.R. "Junior," and Aubry Dean Hagar, and one sister, Lavern Cresson.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at the McDaniel Funeral Home at Kennett.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at the McDaniel Chapel at Kennett, with the Rev. Don Sheerin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
