Billie Lee Wrather

Billie Lee Wrather, 73, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Jan. 18, 1934, in Deering, Mo., son of the late Roy and Willora Eddilman Wrather, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a chef in the Army and a member of the American Legion.

On Sept. 26, 1956, in Hernando, Miss., he married Betty Brown, who survives.

Survivors also include four sons, Dean Wrather and wife, Kim, Gary Wrather and wife, Tammy, Brian Wrather and William Wrather and wife, Traci, all of Kennett; four daughters, Angela Wrather, and Toni Lloyd and husband, Billy, all of Friendship, Mo., Teresa Fisk and husband, John, of Sikeston, Mo., and Elizabeth Wrather, of Kennett; three sisters, Sue Smith, of Caruthersville, Mo., and Carol Wrather and Jane Gibson, both of Kennett and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Tarter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
