Christina Marie and Jeffrey Don McCormick of Kennett announce the birth of their son, Jaxon Dean McCormick, born Nov. 7, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center's Family BirthPlace in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.

He is the grandson of Larry and Ree Schmitz of St. Charles, Mo., and Jean and Jerry McCormick of Holcomb, Mo.

He was welcomed home by big sister, Emma.
