Gollie Grissom

Gollie Bob Grissom, 98, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born Aug. 31, 1909, in Sardis, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Wylie and Mary Austin.

On Jan. 22, 1928, in Sardis, she married Lois Grissom, who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2001. She was also preceded in death by three sons, James, Norris and Billy Joe Grissom and two daughters, Mary Nell McGarity and Della Grissom.

Survivors include three sons, Bob Grissom and wife, Nancy and Jerry Grissom and wife, Juanita, all of Gideon and Larry Grissom and wife, Debbie, of Steele, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Andy Evans officiating.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery at Lexington, Tenn.
