Clara Mae Woodard, 89, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born Oct. 25, 1918, in Aberdeen, Miss., daughter of the late Frank Calvin and Myrtle Lofton Johnson, she was a member of the Sumach Methodist Church.

On Sept. 11, 1939, she married T.J. Woodard, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sue Woodard and one brother, Harry Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Woodard and wife, Norma, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Gary Woodard and wife, Carolyn, of DeRidder, La.; one daughter, Vickie Ratliff, of Kennett; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Hartbarger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Wayne and Keith Nash, Floyd Wright, Jim Pemberton, Morris Huffstutler and Gerald Collins.
