Jesse Sherrod, 89, of Senath, Mo. died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at his residence.

Born July 22, 1918, son of the late James Richardson and Sophie Atkisson Sherrod, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

On May 13, 1952, at St. Francis, Ark., he married Imogene Ford Sherrod, who survives the home.

Other survivors include two sons, James Sherrod of Senath, and Joe Sherrod, and wife, Pam, of Kennett, Mo.; three grandchildren, Andrew and Jason Sherrod and Amber Marrow.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Mack Sherrod, and a sister, Annie Sherrod.

Visitation was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at the First Baptist Church at Senath.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at the First Baptist Church at Senath with the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.

Burial will be in the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jason Sherrod, Andrew Sherrod, Jon Anderson, Jimmy Wadley, Billy Charles Johnson, Randy Stone, and Roger Karnes.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath is in charge of the arrangements.
