Born Dec. 18, 1922, near Malden, she was a tax collector for Clay Township and a member of the Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden.
She married Thayer Turman in 1939, who preceded her in death and she later married Everett McCarver, who preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister and one brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Absher and husband, Bill, of Marion and Karen Berry and husband, Jim, of Bernie, Mo.; one son, Everett McCarver, of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, David Arnold and Michael Absher, both of Marion and Leigh Ann Hancock, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden with Dan Hargraves officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
