Mary Ellen Dennis, 73, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born March 24, 1934, in McJester, Ark., daughter of the late Jack and Amy Graham Fallon, she had been a telephone operator and was employed at Brown Shoe Company. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one son, Brian Keith Dennis, of Blytheville, Ark.; one daughter, Cindy Brown and husband, Jerry, of Cooter and four grandsons, David Keith Dennis, of Tuscon, Ariz., Matt and Aaron Brown and Eric Dennis, all of Cooter.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Coleman.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo. with the Rev. Mike Hargraves officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.

Pallbearers were Matt, Aaron and Jerry Brown, David and Eric Dennis and Blake Robinson.
