Faye Cook Alexander, 86, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 25, 1921, in Chickhalak, Ark., daughter of the late Odie and Ruby Dacus Scott, she was a 1937 graduate of Braggadocio High School and was employed by Boeing Aircraft, working on B-29 Bombers during WWII and was later employed by Crews Reynolds Farms. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cooter, Mo.
On Feb. 7, 1942, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Fred Cook, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1976. She later married Adrian Alexander on Oct. 21, 1978 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1997. She was also preceded in death by one brother Bud Scott.
Survivors include one son, Larry Cook and wife, Paige, of Braggadocio; three daughters, Barbara Lacer and husband, Roger, of Cooter, Mickie Radabaugh and husband, Phil, of San Marcos, Calif., and Sandra Flowers and husband, Bennie, of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters, Zola Scott, of Bay, Ark., June Robichaud and husband, Paul, of Columbia, S.C.., Dixie Scott, of Braggadocio, Gaye Suddarth, of Hayti, Mo., and Julia Robinson and husband, Larry, of Glen Avon, Calif., two brothers, Leon Scotty Scott and wife, Florence, of Jupiter, Fla., and Joe Lon Scott and wife, Sandy, of Russellville, Ala.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo. with the Rev. Mike Hargraves officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
