Helen Marie Peterson, 84, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born March 30, 1923, in Campbell, daughter of the late Charles and Flora Emery Goldsmith, she was a graduate of Campbell High School, a homemaker and she attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell.

On Nov. 25, 1942, she married Chester Peterson, who survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Helen Harris and husband, Kenneth, of Malden, Mo., Connie Hawley and husband, Ed, of Queen Valley, Ariz., and Pat Laws and husband, Randy of Arnold, Mo.; four sons: James Peterson and wife, Glenda, of Dittmer, Mo., Bill Peterson and wife, Penny, of Campbell, Roy Peterson and wife, Geralyn, of Dittmer and Dan Peterson and wife, Kathy, of Campbell; two brothers: Floyd Goldsmith, of El Dorado, Kan., and Gene Goldsmith, of Plano, Ill.; 24 Grandchildren: Ken Harris, Jr., of Dexter, Mo., Bryan Harris, Michael Harris, and Melanie Durham , all of Malden, Lisa Krieg, of House Springs, Mo., Pete Peterson II, of Arnold, Anne Marie Watkins, of Hillsboro, Mo., Robert Woodliff, of Phoenix, Ariz., Bill Peterson, Jr., Belinda Bryant and Lisa Huber, all of Campbell, Desi Bean, of Peach Orchard, Mo., Jessie Easterling, of Germany, Bradley Peterson, of Platte City, Mo., Douglas Peterson, of Barnhart, Mo., Jacob Peterson, of Fulton, Mo., Shane Peterson, of Scott City, Mo., Stephen Peterson, of Searcy, Ark., Sarah Watson, of Rogersville, Mo., Joseph and Heather Daegle, both of Arnold, Mo., Travis Laws, of Iraq, Dustin Laws of Washington, D.C., and Amber Laws, of Arnold and 30 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Faye Peterson; three sisters, Dollie Goldsmith, Katie Tune and Dorothy Fletcher and four brothers, Charles, Donald, Dale and Ronnie Goldsmith; two grandchildren, John Daniel Maddox and Bruce Peterson; two great-grandchildren, Abbey Rachel Harris and Christian Daegle.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Friday, Oct. 5, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Henry Shelly officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
