Nicholas Gamble, 28, of LaPlace, La., died Sept. 20, 2007, at his residence.

Born April 3, 1979, son of Gary and Victoria Gamble, he was a former member of the United States Marine Corps and was self-employed.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Victoria Gamble, of LaPlace, La.; a son, Colson Gamble, of LaPlace, La.; a sister, Heather Gamble, of Thibodeaux, La.; grandparents Gerald and Ona Gamble, of Kennett; two uncles, Kevin Gamble, of Hot Springs, Ark., and John Gamble, of Kennett.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virgil and Ruth Fehling, of Armstrong, Mo.

Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace, La.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., the First United Methodist Church of Kennett, or the Kennett Kiwanis Youth Soccer Program.
