Earnestine "Teeny" Light, 94, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at her residence.

Born Feb. 9, 1913, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the late Pleasant A. and Sarah Elizabeth Hedge Lynn, she was a 1930 graduate of Caruthersville High School, and was employed by the Ford dealer in Hayti and the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hayti.

On Sept. 6, 1936, she married J.B. Light, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Lynn Butler and a half-sister, Marie Ballard.

Survivors include friends, Jim and Marge Melton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were deacons from the First Baptist Church in Hayti.
