Virgie Miller

Virgie Mae Miller, 81, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at Methodist North Healthcare in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Dec. 10, 1925, in Poughkeepsie, Ark., daughter of the late William Carroll and Maggie Watkins Huckabee, she was a school teacher and a member of the Church of Christ in Bernie, Mo.

On Sept. 13, 1947, in Osceola, Ark., she married Billy Miller, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Rex Miller; two sisters, Ona Novak and Pauline Ramer and two brothers, W.C. and Oscar Huckabee.

Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Miller and Shadow Thomason, both of Malden and Barbara Dollarhide and husband, John, of Offord, Miss.; three brothers, Lamon Huckabee, of Paragould, Ark., Chris Huckabee, of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and Edward Huckabee, of Flint, Mich., and one grandson, Zach Tutor, of Offord, Miss.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 17, at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden with Stan Dauck officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
