Kenneth Dean Dye, 70, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born June 26, 1937, in Qulin, Mo., son of the late Jack and Eva Jones Dye, he was a barber and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Malden.
On Oct. 13, 1984, in Malden, he married Lillian Baker May, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Kelly Dean Dye and wife, Phyllis, of Malden; two step-sons, Raymond A. May, of Farmington, Mo., and Kevin May, of Malden; one step-daughter, Sheri Ray, of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Wanda Lawrence, of Gideon, Mo.; two brothers, Vernon Dye, of Dexter and Jackie Dye, of Gideon and four grandchildren, Beth Fitzgerald, of Columbia, Mo., Brian May, of St. Louis, Mo., and Andrew and Benajmin Ray, both of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Van and Jimmy Dye.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at the First Assembly of God Church in Malden with the Rev. James Bolin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
