Cpl. Rickey Lynn "Little Rickey" Bell, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, in Iraq.

Born June 30, 1986, in Blytheville, Ark., son of Rickey and Janice Bell of Caruthersville, he was a 2005 graduate of Caruthersville High School and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Iraq. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Caruthersville.

Survivors also include a sister, Nichole Bell, of Caruthersville; a brother, Donald Jones and wife, Rachael, of Caruthersville and his grandparents, Lloyd and Pat King, of Cambria, Ill., and Odell Bell, of Hayti, Mo.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Linda Bell.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee, Rev. Howard Mountcastle and Randy Rodgers officiating.

Burial with full military honors was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Mark Reno, Austin Riggs, Thomas Guest, Adam Cecil, Trey Taylor, Ben Harris, Jonathan Hardon and Ward Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Jonathan Hadden, Tyler and Justin Sullivan, Trey Linsman, Ben Foster, Chase Hopkins, Keith Floyd and Chad McClain.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
