Annie Bell Thomas, 92, of Hayti, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at Pemiscot Nursing Home in Hayti.
Born March 15, 1915, in Marianna, Ark., daughter of the late henry and Magnolia Webb, she was a member of the Faith Temple Church and a domestic worker.
Survivors include seven children, Rosetta Young, Catherine McGee and Earline Johnson, all of Memphis, Tenn., Lula Johnson, of Aurora, Ill., Vivian Washington and Melvin Webb and wife, Sharran, all of Chicago, Ill., and Percy Thomas and wife, Rosie, of Markham, Ill.; two sisters, Alice Johnson, of Chicago and Gladys Campbell, of Springfield, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Albert Gant, Jr.; three sisters, Rebecca Porter, Anna Bridges and Mary Smith and three brothers, Samuel, M.L., and Frank Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Faith Temple Baptist Church of God in Christ at Hayti with Elder Courtney Sanders officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Bryant Holmes, Phillip Lane, Bryant Holmes, Jr., Phillip Williams, Michael McGee, Jr., and Frederick S. Higgins.
Honorary pallbearers were Rufus McGee, Michael McGee, Sr., Frederick A. Higgins, Ernest Stokes, Edward Holmes and Albert L. Holmes.
