Maddox Shumate

Clayton and Amy Shumate announce the birth of their son, Maddox Kendale Shumate, born Friday, July 27, 2007, at Baptist Women's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

He weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces.

He is the grandson of Ken and Cindy Shumate of Marion, Ark., formerly of Kennett, and Rujay and Sandra Burke of Forrest City, Ark., and the great-grandson of Francis Weaver Weeks of Little Rock, Ark., Modene Shumate of Portageville, Mo., Mary Stoker O'Brien of Memphis and the late Jerome Weaver, Dale Shumate, Charles Edward Stoker, Laurie Burke Moore and Jay Burke.
