William Donald "Skinny" Rollins, 84, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born April 24, 1923, in Holcomb, Mo., son of the late William and Laura Eulitt Rollins, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII, and a member of Ely Baptist Church.

On April 18, 1942, he married Glenda Guill, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Donnie "Butch" Rollins and wife, Sue, of Springfield, Mo., and Bobby Rollins and wife, Anna, of Kennett; one daughter, Kay Key and husband, Gary, of Barnhart, Mo.; one sister, Bernice Lightfoot, of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Willis, Harry, Lester, Doyne and Curtis Rollins and two sisters, Jewel Thompson and Willa B. Troutt.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home on Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don Slatton and Bud Evans officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.

Pallbearers are Dean Taylor, Lanny Wilson, Larry Gatewood, John Donnely, Randy Baker and Don Sikes.

Honorary pallbearers are men of Ely Baptist Church.
