Dorothy Skaggs, 78, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro, Ark.
Born May 5, 1929, in Leachville, Ark., daughter of the late William and Nettie Bailey McCain, she was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ.
On July 6, 1957, in Flint, Mich., she married Joe Skaggs, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Bobby Lowe, of Decatur, Mich., and Michael Lowe, of Clio, Mich.; four daughters, Phyllis Knipp, of Decatur, Betty McCain, of Flint, Mich., and Jean Konieczke and Jo Ann Norris, both of Kennett; three brothers, Jerry and Robert McCain, both of Florida and Kenneth McCain, of Louisiana; three sisters, Sue Lee, of Manila, Ark., Cathy Benefield, of Hornersville Mo., and Patsy McCain, of Florida; eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Aug. 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Kennett, with Dwight Harrison and Wesley Key officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Bill Burkett, Robert Powell, James Hackworth, Brad Benson and Tommy Samples.
