Verma Vincent, 88, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Jan. 3. 1919, in Camplell, the daughter of the late Ezra and Maple Edwards Blackman, she was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany General Baptist Church in Campbell.
On June 28, 1936, in Piggott, Ark., she married Owen W. Vincent, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jordan.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Holtzhouser and husband, Carrel John, of Malden, Mo.; two sons, Ronnie Vincent and wife, Becky, of Bernie, Mo., and Lynn Vincent, of Campbell; one sister, Alma Blackman, of Bernie; seven grandchildren, Shirel York, of Hickory, N.C., Carrel John Holtzhouser II, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sondra J. Shelton, of Plattsburg, Mo., Tammy Hoffman, of Rolla, Mo., Ronnie Joe Vincent, Jr., and Kevin Vincent, both of Bernie and Tina Schaefer, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 17, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating.
Burial was in the Bernie Cemetery.
