Evelyn Collier, 52, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Sept. 15, 1954, in Okalona, Miss., daughter of the late Eugene and Emma Smith White, she was a teacher's aide and she was a member of the House of Prayer in Malden.
In December of 1988, in Malden, she married Mose Collier, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Petrina Love, of Malden; one son, DeAnsio Collier, of Malden; three step-daughters, Erica and Sonya Collier, both of Columbia, Mo., and Kimberly Howard, of Blytheville, Ark.; seven sisters, Clara Townsend and husband, Jesse, of Malden, Ruby Ray, of Okalona, Roxy Woods and husband, Allen, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Rachel Perry, of St. Louis, Mo., Geneva Brewer and husband, Eddie, of Kokomo, Ind., Malissa Peterson and husband, Anthony, of Atlanta, Ga., and Maggie White and husband, Jimmy, of Decatur, Mo.; four brothers, Herman White and wife, Betty, Curtis White and wife, Josephine and Harold White and wife, Dorothy, all of Malden and Winford White, of Grand Rapids and three grandchildren, NaQuiya McGee, Jamya Warfield and DeCambreigh Reed.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Hughes and Palama Moore and four brothers, Willie, Sam, Dave and L.C. White.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Quincy Keeble officiating.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
