Homer Nathan Jackson, 82, of Corning, Ark., formerly of Risco, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born May 10, 1925, he was the son of the late David and Mary Jane Simmons Jackson.

On July 31, 1950, in Piggott, he married Viola McGinness, who preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2005. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jim, Albert, Hershel and Arlie Jackson and one sister, Pauline McCain.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Fowler, of New Haven, Conn., Eugene Jackson, of Gideon, Mo., Phillip Jackson, of Portageville, Mo., and Kent Jackson, of Malden, Mo.; one daughter, Patricia Cowart, of Corning; four brothers, Bill Jackson, of Malden, Charles Jackson, of Clarkton, Mo., Ed Jackson, of St. Charles, Mo., and Gerald Jackson, of Barnhart, Mo.; four sisters, Ione Reaves, of Mt. View, Mo., Mildred McAlister, of Risco, Lois Bevill, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Lucille Hutchinson, Warrenton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
