Martha Jean Burnett, 72, of St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in St. Louis.

Born Dec. 30, 1934, in Mayflower, Ark., daughter of the late J.T., Sr., and Syble Hoggard Burnett, she was the manager of Andes' Carpet Co. of St. Louis.

Survivors include one brother, John Burnett and wife, Robbie, of Campbell, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Ann Marshall, of Gladewater, Tx., Beulah Lottes, of Salisbury, N.C., and Pat Larson, of Imperial, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Anita Burnett, of Parma, Mo., and several neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, J.T., JR, and Richard Burnett; one sister, Louise Burnett, and a brother-in-law, Edward Marshall.

Visitation was held at the Landess Funeral Home of Malden.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden with the Rev. bob McNabb officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the United Methodist Church at Malden.
