James Alvin Harrison

James Alvin Harrison, 64, of Joiner, Ark., died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at his residence.

Born April 23, 1943, in Nodena, Ark., son of the late Jasper Harrison and Vider Mae Smith, he was a farmer and in the scrap metal business. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Harrison, of Kennett; three daughters, Penny Pounds, of Savannah, Tenn., and Donna Jean and Melissa Ann Harrison, both of Kennett; two sons, James Lynn and Bobby Joe Harrison, both of Kennett; one sister, Barbara Roser, of Osceola, Ark.; one brother, William Howard Harrison, of Tiron, Ga., and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Ann Mauppins and Lavern "Bonnie" Rolleson and one brother, Felix Ray Harrison.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Friday, Aug. 3, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Bassett Cemetery at Bassett, Ark.
